Lots of rambunctious (and a few shy) children kept me busy all day at the newly rebuilt Oasis on Lake Travis. This was my first visit since the fire, and wow, things have changed dramatically - but definitely for the better! You can't go wrong when you choose west Austin as the backdrop for your wedding day.

I've seen lots of wedding cakes, but never have I seen a penguin and a moose. Apparently, good taste in cakes runs in this social circle - Brandy and Matt were referred to me by their friends April and Oscar, a couple I worked with last fall who won the Official Jake Holt Award for "Best Cake Topper Ever Ever."

The penguin was very tasty.
