Rare Magazine, July 2009

A few of my favorites for a feature titled "Raising The Bar - A Toast To Austin's Bartenders." The following photos are from The Beauty Bar, The Good Knight, and Rio Rita - you can check out the full issue at Rare's website and get the skinny on both the bartenders and their tasty concoctions. My favorite is Billy's specialty "The June Rose" from The Good Knight, mmmmmmm.

Adrienne & Scott | Longview, Texas | 06.27.2009

Adrienne and Scott definitely had the most colorful wedding day outfits that I've ever had the pleasure of photographing - funny thing is, Adrienne's dress was a last-minute replacement for the original dress that was just last week the unfortunate recipient of a post-bridal session ink pen attack. Or something like that. Anyway, it turned out for the best, as the new dress was even better than the original. Scott's orange socks were definitely a refreshing touch, and they matched the photobooth backdrop to perfection.

Scott also wins the award for best "wedding this way" signs ever made ever ever - apparently he stayed up late the night before hand-painting the 4 or 5 signs necessary to direct guests through the winding Longview country roads. I say it was time well spent. 

Amanda & Ronnie | Austin, Texas | 06.19.2009

Instead of a guestbook, Amanda had her guests sign her dress. Her DRESS. Awesome. Also awesome was the moonbounce, which was great fun for guests and photographers alike...although maybe not incredibly safe for cameras. 

There goes the veil!
